Strand has acquired, developed and financed real estate assets involving more than 40,000 residential units since its formation in 1976. Strand has been actively involved in numerous real estate sectors, including the development and acquisition of multifamily garden style and high-rise apartments and condominium projects; single-family land and housing development; the development of multiunit warehouse projects; the acquisition of office building properties; and the provision of mortgage financing to developers for residential and commercial developments throughout North America.

Strand finances its activities from its internal shareholder equity and from capital contributed by its Canadian and international institutional, corporate, and individual partners. Strand has an organized and systematic reporting process that provides transparent and timely project and equity reporting to its capital investors and Strand’s corporate activities are carried out through a variety of financing vehicles to satisfy the taxation and structural requirements of each specific transaction. As a result of its financial resources, Strand has the ability to respond on a timely basis to investment opportunities.
